Card For My Mom

I made this card for my mo who lost her little dog last week. I love how it turned out actually.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!

Argh! I made this card using the "Martie tissue paper" I showed you in one of my posts below. What do you think? Personally, I think I get dizzy when I look at it.

I'm thinking I don't care for it very much. Give me your honest opinions. Trust me, my feelings will not be hurt! :)

I think I am missing the picnic basket and all the "ants" that should be crawling around.

Stuff for my Little Sis

I have a new Little Sis on SCS. I look forward to this round. The last two LS's I have had have been great and I am sure this one will be just a great. She seems fun. I made these red and white cards (her favorite color is red) with her initial to put in her "reveal" package. The red ribbon is just wrapped about the cards to tie them together, it isn't part of the card. I made the other card to send her in the mail tomorrow. I will put some fun things in it. I always like to include little surprises in my cards that I send.

I hope she will like them!

Michael's Purchases

I was at Michael's yesterday and not only did I buy my Martie toys, I also got this K & Co Blue Awning paper. It is just goreous! I used my 50% off coupon. I also got these little crystal and pearly embellishments for .50 cents a piece on clearance in the Chrismas aisle.

I can't wait to use this paper, it is so pretty!

"Another Stroll Down Martie Boulevard"

I have such dislike for Martha (Martie) Stewart. But for some reason I have found myself buying some of her "crafty" items.

I got this glitter (which I happen to love) at Walmart today in the Christmas aisle for 50% off. It ended up costing $4.45. I am going to get another one for my Little Sis on SCS.

I found this Martie paper and this Martie ribbon in the "clearance" aisle (don't you just LOVE the word "clearance?) at Michael's yesterday. The paper was $3.00. That's right - $3.00. My problem with it is that it is like "tissue" type paper and not cardstock paper. It didn't say that anywhere on the package. For $3.00, though, what do you do? Does anyone have any ideas on how to use this?

Now for the Martie ribbon. Isn't it just gorgeous? It was only .99 cents each I tell you. Love it!

My Little Elf

Liam showed up on Christmas Eve with this darling little "ensemble." He hat says, "I've Been Good, mostly." He's just precious. He's now five months old. Christmas will be crazy next year.

Frames were a hit!

The frames that I made for Dal & Kerri were quite the hit! They loved them, which really made me feel good.
My friend that I made the frame for (several posts ago) with her wedding program and the ribbon from the program? She LOVED IT!!! I was a bit concerned about it. She grew up in a wealthy family and has nothing but the best so I was afraid a "homemade frame" wouldn't be well received. I was wrong, which totally thrills me!

Friend to Friend Card

Okay, I'm sick of making Christmas stuff. I decided to make a card for my friend who is going through a rough time right now. It took me forever to make it because I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do.

This is the outcome and I think I like the way it turned out.

Christmas Jars and Bags

These are some Christmas jars that I made for some co-workers. I spent the day making "homemade granola" (which is quite yummy if I say so myself) to fill the jars.
I also made these gift bags and attached ornaments I made to the bags. Cute? Not Cute? You decide! ; )

Picture Frames

Okay girls, I have made these frames for my stepson and his girlfriend with, of course, little Liam. I could just squeeze him to pieces because he is so precious!
I hope Dal and Kerri like the frames.

Opinions are welcomed! ; )

Liam's First Snow Day

My little grandson, Liam, had his first snow day last Saturday here in Ohio. His mommy and daddy put his teddy bear snow suit on him and layed him down in the snow for a second to snap this picture.
Look at his face! He is probably thinking, "What the hell are you freaks doing? You are supposed to love me!"
His little "furrowed" brow shows he is not so happy. It cracks me up!
If you double click on the picture, you can see it more close up.

SU Horizontal Punch

I had a SU workshop and got some "free money" to spend. Of course there is nothing left and/or new in the catalog that I want or need. For one of my "freebies" I got the horizontal punch. Yeah!

Okay, now that I have it, what the hell do I do with it?

So Not a "Stamping" Post

Okay, I was at home from work yesterday and what did I get the privilege to see? O.J. SIMPSON being sentenced to prison. I actually work for a judge so I see this stuff every single day. If ever a person (and I use that term loosely) deserves prison, it is O.J.

The Goldmans were sitting in the courtroom watching. I am sure they felt wonderful seeing him in shackles. It has to be bittersweet for them that he finally is getting a prison sentence that he deserves, regardless of whether it was for murder (which was a no brainer as far as most are concerned) or for his Vegas crimes.

I loved the judge when she indicated that she wasn't sure whether he was arrogant or an idiot and decided he was both. I think until the sentence was handed down that O.J. thought he would walk again. Obviously that is where the arrogance and the idiocy come in.

Go to the library and get the book "If I Did It." It amazes me how he remembered everything EXCEPT the "incident." The man is guilty and he'll always be guilty.

Hopefully for the Browns and the Goldmans this prison sentence will give them some well deserved closure that the scumbag, O.J. Simpson deserves.

I'm sure when O.J. dies, he will be surrounded by alot of friends and people he knows in HELL.

Look Alike Cards

Does anyone ever see a card or something on someone's blog or in someone's gallery that looks almost exactly like one that you have posted? I have seen one that looks a whole hell of a lot like one that I have posted. I'm actually a bit irritated by it.
What is a girl to do?

SCS BLOGGER #3 - CHALLENGE #1

This is the card that I made for my Blogger Group from SCS (#3). It is the first challenge. We were to use orange and yellow and a floral stamp. I used Confetti cardstock, some scraps of a pattern paper I got at the Hob Lob. I used my Cuttlebug embossing flower folder and my SU Upsy Daisy stamp with my SU Only Orange ink. Oh yeah, I used yellow brads too!

VOTE FOR ME!

Gift Card Holder

This is a gift card holder that I made. I found it on the blog of Sharon Johnson. Take a look at her blog, it is really great. You can find the directions on her blog here: http://notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2007/11/02/stamp-simply-challenge-7-gift-card-holders/
I used Bazzill red and white for the card. I also used my SU scallop punch and a Martha Stewart (OH GOD! I can't believe I have purchased another "Marty" item) . I used my white SU pen for the dots. (Nail polish courtesy of OPI - Rosy Mistletosies)

I'm Such A Goat

Idiot me! I loaded my Santa card thinking it was my "first ever" challenge. However, I fibbed, without realizing it). I forgot about the MFT card that I posted below. THAT was my first challenge. What a goat I am sometimes.

A Muse December Home Page Contest and Challenge Card

This is the first time I have entered a card in a contest or the first time I have done a challenge for that matter. I guess I can use this card for both.

I used my A Muse santa stamp and I brayered the ocean and the sun is from SU Warm Wishes and the birds are from a set from MFT. I made the surfboard by cutting the small SU oval punch in half. I also used Primsa Markers and Liquid Applique for santa's beard and hat and the top of the waves.

I hope you like it. It was fun to make!

Two more simple Christmas cards

I made these cards as well as the ones I posted previously. I used my CuddleBug emossing folder (that I received from my Big Sis for SCS), and some Martha Stewart glitter (oh my God, that is twice in about one week that I have admitted to purchasing "Marty" products). Now I have a green glitter and a blue glitter.

Ornaments

These are a couple of the ornaments I have made for gifts. I used clear ornaments I got from The Hob Lob and I cut strips of Basic Grey Christmas paper and curled it and stuffed them in the ornament.

Picture Cube

I found this Making Memories photo cube on clearance at The Hob Lob (Hobby Lobby) for $2.00. For $2.00 you gotta buy it, right?

Well, my wheels started turning last night about midnight and I thought, "I'll make a present for Dal (my husband, Dallas) for Christmas. "

With that being said, this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think. I like the way it came out.
