A Muse Pajama Party - Challenge #3

This is my card for A Muse Challenge #3

FREAK FLOOD!!!

I have not been here for a while. I was on vacation in California for ten days and we got back last night (7/2/09) and there had been a "freak flood" and our family room and basement and my scrapbook room had been flooded with two feet of water. We had a friend staying here and she and a couple of our other friends got the water out pretty quickly.
Unfortunately, we lost our washer and dryer, our furniture and alot of "memories."


I lost my SU cardstock, my A Muse paper and my Bazzill paper. I have been breaking down in tears off and on today and we are now exhausted with the "clean up." Some of my stamps got wet but people have told me that they will be okay once they dry out.

You know, I can lose my furniture, my washer and dryer and that is just the way it is. But when a mother nature does something freaky and starts ruining my cardstock, I tend to be a little pissed off.

Whenever I have started feeling so for myself today, I keep remembering Hurrican Katrina victims and think that they lost everything, including lives so losing paper is surely not going to kill me. I have to keep things in perspective.

Hopefully, soon, I will be able to start scrapping and cardmaking again and start posting.

Liam's First Pool Experience

This is our grandson, Liam and his very first pool experience. I think he's saying, "These people have the best bathtub ever!!" I may be biased, but he is just cute as can be.

This is a card that I made for my new Little Sis on SCS. I hope she likes it. I used some of the buttons from my "garage sale" find! I like the way that card turned out.

Garage Sale Find

I stopped at a garage sale this morning and found this Ikea container which I will use to put something in I know - and it was a bargain for 50 cents.

Then I found a jar of old buttons. I asked how much they were and the girl said $1.00. I told her I'd give her 50 cents. SCORE! When I took the old buttons out of the jar, not only were there buttons but also 36 cents. I got a return on my investment. I just love a fun bargain.

I made these little 3x3 cards. Not too sure as to why. What does one do with 3x3 cards and where does one get envelopes that size? Again, I made them was scraps.
