I've Been Missing
I have not posted for quite a while. My dad passed away in October and things have just been a bit overwhelming. It was hard to try to get into the "creative mood" right before Christmas. The holidays were very different this year. He was only 67 years old and it has all been too much.
Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things and start posting again.

FREAK FLOOD!!!
I have not been here for a while. I was on vacation in California for ten days and we got back last night (7/2/09) and there had been a "freak flood" and our family room and basement and my scrapbook room had been flooded with two feet of water. We had a friend staying here and she and a couple of our other friends got the water out pretty quickly.
Unfortunately, we lost our washer and dryer, our furniture and alot of "memories."
I lost my SU cardstock, my A Muse paper and my Bazzill paper. I have been breaking down in tears off and on today and we are now exhausted with the "clean up." Some of my stamps got wet but people have told me that they will be okay once they dry out.
You know, I can lose my furniture, my washer and dryer and that is just the way it is. But when a mother nature does something freaky and starts ruining my cardstock, I tend to be a little pissed off.
Whenever I have started feeling so for myself today, I keep remembering Hurrican Katrina victims and think that they lost everything, including lives so losing paper is surely not going to kill me. I have to keep things in perspective.
Hopefully, soon, I will be able to start scrapping and cardmaking again and start posting.
